If you’re planning to travel to Bali soon, the incredible news probably reached you that Bali International Airport is back open again. Finally, after 2 years!
As we wrote about it earlier here - quarantine in Bali is now possible as well. Slowly more airlines are resuming their flights to Bali, like Singapore Airlines and starting from March KLM will resume to fly 2 times a week (Tuesday and Friday).
Currently Indonesia is only allowing vaccinated travelers into Bali. The length of your quarantine stay depends on the number of doses of vaccines you had:
2 nights / 3 days - 3 vaccine doses
4 nights / 5 days - 2 vaccine doses
6 nights / 7 days - 1 vaccine dose (exemption letter 2nd dose is required)
Although we all hope there won’t be any mandatory vaccine and quarantine necessary in the future we're already so thankful for these steps forward. Our hopes are up Bali will be quarantine-free in April. It's highly confirmed this week news will follow!
And if you’re afraid of feeling stuck inside your hotel room, no worries - you can choose one of the Warm-up Holiday Program hotels that are currently offering a ‘quarantine bubble’ package, that allows you to enjoy the pool, restaurant, gym, outside area and some have kids playgrounds for traveling families. So good!
Plans are to add more hotels with bubble quarantine to the Warm-up Holiday Program as quarantine hotels in Bali.
What does a Bali quarantine hotel cost?
Prices for a 5 days, 4 nights quarantine at one of the bubble quarantine warm-up hotels will cost between IDR 10 million and IDR 15 million and for the 3 days, 2 nights in between IDR 5 million and IDR 10 million (IDR 5 million is about 310 euros. You will find cheaper options at the non-bubble Bali hotels (see full list below) or you can consider traveling through Jakarta (if Jakarta is your first entry point in Indonesia you’ll need to quarantine there).

Travelers arriving on international flights in Bali must have a quarantine hotel package booked and paid. Make sure to book the hotel quarantine package directly with the approved hotel or resort. You will receive a QR code which you'll need to show at the check in of your departure flight.
After landing you will be guided through the airport and need to stop at different checkpoint counters, where you will have to show your travel documents. Here you will find what you need to enter Bali.

BALI HOTELS WITH 'QUARANTINE BUBBLE' PACKAGE
These hotels and resorts are ‘quarantine bubbles’ – that means you don’t need to stay in your room for the time of your quarantine and you’re allowed to access certain facilities within the bubble area of the resorts. You can usually choose different type of rooms or family suites when you’re traveling with kids.
All packages usually include the PCR tests, airport pick-up and daily meals.
