About the project: Nasi Bunkus Tetangga
Small acts of kindness can change someone’s life forever. It can turn a bad day into a good day. With Nasi Bunkus, initiated by Indonesian actress and model Indah Kalolo and her good friend Fitri Supardi, hundreds of families are being provided food packages three times a week. We have been lucky to have the chance to be personally involved in helping to prepare and handout the nasi bunkus packages and we are in awe of the amazing hard work of the team and who are doing this work every single day. With our own eyes we have seen the smiles on the faces of the people who received their food packages and the impact this has on the families. Since the outbreak of COVID-19 tourism stopped in Bali, with knowing more than 70% of the island depends on tourism, Balinese communities are being hit hard. Leaving families hungry and without any money. Maybe Bali is your second home or your upcoming vacation has been canceled and you would love to support. We hope this way we can contribute together with all of you. We need to take action together to help the communities in Bali survive this. It’s an opportunity to unite and support is all that matters right now!
