Hi Bali lover! We're happy to finally show you one of the things we've been working on. With the world slowly adjusting to the new 'new', wearing cloth face masks when going out in public due to the coronavirus pandemic is recommended in most countries. A beautiful opportunity to use our recourses to make something for you and give you a chance to support the people in Bali during this crisis.
We locally sourced fabrics and worked with our tailors in Bali to make machine-washable, double-layered cotton masks. 100% of the profit from all our face masks will be donated to support the people in Bali during COVID-19. Our washable, tropical, reusable fabric masks are made out of locally sourced cotton.

We donate all profit of our Bali face masks to local charity project Nasi Bunkus Tetangga. Who currently feed hundreds of Balinese families a week by handing out essential food packages in local neighborhoods. We carefully sourced and are personally involved with this charity and guarantee your donations will make a difference. Since the outbreak of COVID-19 tourism stopped in Bali, with knowing more than 70% of the island depends on tourism, Balinese communities are being hit hard. Leaving families hungry and without any money. Maybe Bali is your second home or your upcoming vacation has been canceled and you would love to support. We hope this way we can contribute together with all of you. We need to take action together to help the communities in Bali survive this. It’s an opportunity to unite and support is all that matters right now!
About Nasi Bunkus Tetangga
"Small acts of kindness can change someone’s life forever. It can turn a bad day into a good day."
With Nasi Bunkus Tetangga, initiated by Indonesian actress and model Indah Kalolo and her good friend Fitri Supardi (these two power ladies are living next to each other, hence the name 'tetangga', meaning neighbor) hundreds of families are being provided nasi bunkus packages (this is a typical Indonesian single-portion to-go meal wrapped inside banana leaf of paper) three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. All dishes for the nasi bunkus are made at Fitri's house by women who lost their jobs due to COVID-19 in Bali. They cook and get paid for it! After the food is prepared, Indah, Fitri and all their friends make the packages ready to be handed out.
We have been lucky to have the chance to be personally involved in helping to prepare and handout the nasi bunkus packages and we are in awe of the amazing hard work of the team and who are doing this work every single day. With our own eyes we have seen the smiles on the faces of the people who received their food packages and the impact this has on the families.
Nasi Bunkus is receiving donations - not only money, but also food, masks, biodegradable shopping bags and hand sanitisers from friends and local businesses. With all money and your money being donated, ingredients are being bought for the meals at local markets.
Hundreds of packages nasi bunkus are distributed to the camps in Serangan, Gojeks around Umalas, Kerobokan, Seminyak and Berawa and at 5pm another hundreds of packages are being handed out to the local community in front of Fitri's house.
Nasi Bunkus is has teamed up with charity organization Solidaritas Pengan Bali and20ribuuntuk2020: they distribute the food packages to Serangan and villages around Bali.
